Barnsley school gearing up for Internet Rangers
Published: Jul 4th, 2012 |
Project Coordinator, Alison Vint, delivered an Internet Rangers presentation to approx 250 Year Eight pupils at Kirk Balk Advanced Learning Centre in Barnsley. Alison spoke about the digital inclusion work taking place in Barnsley, and about the benefits of taking part in the IR Award. She outlined the benefits of volunteer work and encouraged them to think creatively about how they could engage with the community to provide new opportunities for people to get online. The project is supported in the school by ICT Coordinator Nicola Anderson, and Deputy Head Roger Goodwin, who are hoping to encourage a cohort of pupils to develop an exciting IR project in September 2012.
