Residents get online in Cornwall

The Superfast Cornwall team have published details of a great digital inclusion case study.

As residents started to move into their homes in Hensbarrow Meadows and Phillimore Court, in Cornwall, they were keen to make full use of their local community facility and requested an ICT course.

An initial course was set up and run during July and August 2012. It was instantly a success and, as the course went on, the learners became more confident with IT and with taking up the reins of learning once again.

This could only happen through working together. Hensbarrow Court Residents Association provided the demand, Ocean Housing provided the venue, Cornwall Adult Education’s Family Learning team delivered the training and Superfast Cornwall provided the laptops, with Citizens Online helping to bring it all together.
