Positive Future for Bristol’s Digital Inclusion: Kerry Bradshaw talks with Bristol Mayor, George Ferguson

Get IT Together – Bristol Project Coordinator, Kerry Bradshaw brought up the issue of digital inclusion for the elderly at the recent questions and answers session at the Celebrating Age Festival, held in Bristol in July 2013.

George Ferguson addressed the importance of seniors getting online and how the council aim to improve the channels in which people can get online in Bristol.  Kerry is hoping that the council will play a bigger part in sign-posting people to the different organizations in Bristol that run computer course and invest in increasing these offerings particularly with the welfare reforms being introduced which aim to get more people accessing and processing their benefits online.
