Continuing to learn

Get IT Together – Nairn is a partnership between Citizens Online; BT, through their Connected Society programme; and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
A group of learners who recently completed six IT training sessions told Project Co-ordinator, Brigitte that they were reluctant to stop coming. They enjoyed learning and achieving so much that they didn’t want to stop so Brigitte has now secured a room free of charge for the learners to use.
The class will be supported by a volunteer and one of the learners, whose confidence and experience has grown rapidly over the past weeks, is going to mentor the group.
In October, the learners are going to be starting a genealogy course provided and subsidised by Highlife Highland Archive department. It was felt that the course was a good way to keep our new learners interest going and to enable them to learn new IT skills.
