Volunteers required for Gwynedd digital inclusion project

Published: May 21st, 2015 | Author: Laura Simpson

National digital inclusion project, Citizens Online is looking for new volunteers to support their project in Gwynedd. We are looking volunteersfor friendly and enthusiastic people to help local learners to learn about computers and how to get online.

Citizens Online is setting up free weekly IT drop in sessions in Caernarfon, Dolgellau and Pwllheli to help local people to get online, often for the first time. We don’t expect our volunteers to be IT experts or qualified tutors, just friendly with a willingness to help learners.

Project Coordinator, Daniel Richards, explains: “We all come up against problems when we use the internet, and it is always nice to learn new hints and tips that help us use the web more effectively.”

“Our team of volunteers help support learners and are invaluable to our team. We offer all our volunteers the opportunity to undertake training and they are fully supported by a dedicated member of staff.”
