The One Digital team has created an infographic to celebrate a successful collaboration to support digital

1,179 Digital Champions recruited across the UK
11,025 People engaged with digital skills
555 Organisations participated
5,100 Digital Badges earned by Champions following training
Over 10,000 digital skills taught
The Digital Champion Impact:
Each learner was helped with an average of three digital skills. The most common skills were web searching, emailing and social media.

Training as a Digital Champion
Seven new Digital Champion training courses shared across the Partnership:
• Digital Champion Essentials
• Essentials for engaging older people
• Using the internet to help people love later life
• Visual impairment and technology
• Embedding digital skills support amongst frontline staff
• Helping organisations to make a digital change
• Using the internet to develop a professional profile
9 out of 10 Champions would recommend them.¹
Becoming a Digital Champion
Top 3 motivations for being a Digital Champion¹:
1. Getting satisfaction from helping other people
2. Understanding how digital skills improve lives
3. Improving my ability to support others
60% of Champions are volunteers, 36% are staff, 4% other
¹ Independent evaluation by Sara Dunn Associates. The rest is taken from Digital Unite Digital Champions Network and data recording by the One Digital Partnership
The infographic also includes a map showing “Our Digital Champions across the UK” – showing how widespread across the country champions are.
Finally, the infographic features the logos of the One Digital consortium, and the participating organisations AbilityNet, Affinity Sutton, ageUK, Citizens Online, Digital Unite and SCVO, as well a logo to make clear the project is “Lottery Funded” by the Big Lottery Fund.
