Dr Gail Bradbrook - Lead Consultant

Gail works for Citizens Online, an independent, national charity entirely focused on promoting digital inclusion. Her role involves the strategic focus of the charity, including lobbying on national policy in the area, as well as working with business partners on developing projects and collaborating for greater impact.
Gail was Director of comm.unity, Business in the Community’s campaign focussing on digital inclusion and corporate responsibility for the ICT sector. Her previous roles at Business in the Community included National Programme Manager of the “MAD 4 IT” initiative and The Dot project. Experience gained in these initiatives led to Gail’s involvement in the establishment of IT4Communities.
Gail has also worked for The Standing Conference on Community Development and Groundwork. Prior to this she gained a degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in “Structural and Theoretical studies of saccharide binding proteins”. She also spent a couple of years in mainland Europe and in India doing Postdoctoral research.
Gail is committed to social change issues and has been involved in work on young people’s rights, the inclusion of disabled people and addressing divisions around gender and ethnicity. She is keen on sports such as running, skiing and yoga and has an interest in alternative therapies.
