Digital inclusion research study
The results of the two year Citizens Online Get IT Together Research study are now available. The study has found that after two years:
- 75% of learners are still online and 98% are regular internet users.
- There is a steady uptake in broadband installations, with 84% of learners having home broadband after two years.
- 80% of those looking for work, say their Internet skills are helping them.
Get IT Together is the digital inclusion programme managed by Citizens Online in partnership with BT, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Wales Co-operative and other local partners. The programme has been running a two year longitudinal study to measure the impact of digital skills training on participants.

Some of our projects like Cornwall have been involved in the study for two years, other newer projects like Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) and Plymouth are just joining the study and so have fewer participants at the moment. We will continue to update the study regularly to monitor changing trends and assess the impact of new projects.
