The Safer Internet Forum, open to all interested will focus this year on 4 different topics: "Online social networking and children", "Age verification", "Results of research on children's use of new technologies" and "Cross-platform/cross-media rating and classification".

New eInclusion workshop in September
Registration is already open for the eInclusion workshop "People with disabilities" which ePractice.eu will host in Brussels on September 25.

This new free hands-on event will provide eInclusion professionals an opportunity to explore issues of relevance to ICTs and disability. In keeping with the current debates, the workshop will explore three themes: 1) e-Accessibility, 2) Designing for employability and 3) Design for living. eInclusion workshop to raise awareness about eInclusion activities and the eInclusion Awards 2008

11 August 2008 - 11 August 2008 Praha, CZ

The aim of this workshop is awareness raising about e-Inclusion activities and e-Inclusion Awards as well. The workshop is addressed to all organizations, which are active in e-Inclusion area (digital literacy, ageing, IT solutions for blind people etc.) and want to promote their own projects on the European Level. During the workshop you will be informed about ministerial e-Inclusion conference in Vienna and e-Inclusion Awards.

Mrs. Lenka Ptáčková Melicharová, Deputy Minister for European Affairs and e-Inclusion Ambassador for the Ministerial Conference, will open the workshop. Participation is free of charge for all participants, the working language is Czech.

6th Open Meeting on the Civic and Solidarity Internet - ROUMICS 2008
Since 2008, ANIS has been organising the ROUMICS in the aim to help the eExcluded to grab opportunities offered by ICTs and therefore fight both the digital and generational breaches.

The 2008 edition will focus on "intergenerational link and ICTs". The event is open to all interested parties, and places can be booked online through www.roumics.com/sommaire.php3
