European e-Inclusion Champions

Across 34 European and adjoining countries, 469 public, private and third sector organisations entered their projects for the 2008 e-Inclusion Awards.

The 7 category winners, were announced at a Gala Ceremony in December 2008 at the e-inclusion conference in Vienna. To find out more about the innovative ways in which digital technology is making a difference - click through to the winners and finalists pages.

The 2008 EU e-Inclusion Awards are part of i2010, the EU policy framework for the information society and media. Normally, awards of this type would run every two years. However, the replacement framework for i2010 is currently under preparation, including the options for future awards schemes. The EC anticipates a clearer position to be available last quarter 2009.
