Elaine Heath - Northern Ireland (Older people)

Elaine Heath

Elaine started her career in marketing in Northern Ireland with a leading consumer goods manufacturer. She then relocated to London specialising in the field of new product development and merchandising working with the RAC.

Her interest in environmentalism led to a career move into the voluntary sector with Sting’s charity The Rainforest Foundation in London. Her role involved advocacy and protection of the rights of indigenous groups in the Brazilian Amazon and fundraising for the charity’s sustainable environmental projects.

Elaine then spent ten years at the head office of Help the Aged in London managing the Fundraising Development team identifying, implementing and project managing new fundraising initiatives and products for the charity. She was also the central coordinator for Help the Aged’s disaster emergency response programme working with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

Elaine joined Citizens Online in August 2006 as Project Coordinator for the Northern Ireland projects.

In her spare time Elaine enjoys travel, country walks and photography. She also has a PADI diving qualification (but only for use in warm tropical seas)!
