Intergenerational Connections Created in Maghery Community Hall using IPADS

Carla Lockhart, the Council Mayor and Margarita O Donnell, from Loughshore Access Project, presented seven members of Maghery Diamond Club with certificates for participating in a free IPAD for beginners course and twelve members from Maghery youth club for their invaluable contribution throughout the six weeks.
April Longitudinal Study Update

Citizens Online are running a 2 year longitudinal study across our projects. We survey learners at entry and exit on our courses then at 3,6, 12 and 24 months after training. We analyse the reasons they attend the course, their access to computers and the Internet and any barriers they face. We also look at their confidence before and after training and some of the benefits they gain from the Internet.

Field Lane crafters group get online

We were contacted via one of our close partners, Berneslai Homes, to see if we could provide some basic Internet support to a small group of crafters that meet weekly in Barnsley to chat and make craft products.

The Bristol team held a special event at the Odeon Cinema for the silver screening of ‘Quartet’. Over 260 seniors attended and the team were there to tell them about a free beginners computer courses, including a new iPad course which is due to start in the next month. Residents get online in Cornwall

The Superfast Cornwall team have published details of a great digital inclusion case study. As residents started to move into their homes in Hensbarrow Meadows and Phillimore Court, in Cornwall, they were keen to make full use of their local community facility and requested an ICT course.
