Skye, Wester Ross and Lochaber

Get IT Together in Wester Ross, Lochaber and Skye is a new and exciting project supported by HIE and Highland Council. Project Coordinator, Jane Beaton, will be running friendly and informal training sessions in many of the remote and fragile communities across the region, to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity and the skills to access the internet and benefit from the technology that is available today.

In these spectacular rural locations it can be difficult to access many of the services and opportunities that are taken for granted in more populated areas, and having access to a computer and the internet can open up a whole new social network and wealth of learning opportunities. The project will be working with local communities to try to ensure that nobody is missing out on those opportunities.
