Gwynedd

Gwynedd

Gwynedd is the second largest county in Wales and also one of the most sparsely populated. Over 65% of the population speaks Welsh as a first language, and the geography of the area ranges from the heights of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales to an endless stream of sandy beaches all along the coast. In the one county you have one of  the wettest climates in the UK, around the mountains, to some of the longest summer sun seasons on the coast, on the Lleyn Peninsular. The Gwynedd project aims to assist older people and people with disabilities gain basic IT skills, and do so using the Welsh language where possible.
