Rachael attending the Citizens Online digital support sessions in Botwnnog near Pwllheli with the aim of improving her digital skills to create a digital presence for her massage business. Rachael didn’t have her own laptop, so we provided her with a refurbished device. Our digital champion, Llion, then supported Rachael to create a google webpage for her business. Llion also supported Rachael to edit her webpage and promote her business online.
She describes herself on her new website:
“Hello, My name is Rachael and I am a qualified Complementary Therapist based in Pwllheli. I offer a range of professional massages such as Aromatherapy, Swedish body massage, Reflexology and Hot stone massage. I completed my course in 2011 and since then worked in local spa’s. I enjoy tailoring each treatment to the individual needs.
I aim to aid relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension so If you feel like this would benefit you please get in touch.”
Once she was confident to improve her website by adding different pages etc, we moved on to learning about spreadsheets, to help her with her finances. By using Google Sheets we learnt how to create a spreadsheet that keeps track of her budget and profit margins. She is now able to add formulas to the spreadsheets if she needs to in the future.
It has been a pleasure supporting Rachael and watching her confidence grow with digital skills.
She says:

Mae Rachael wedi gwella ei sgiliau TG i helpu ei busnes Mae Rachael wedi bod yn dod i Fotwnnog ger Pwllheli ers rhai misoedd gyda’r nod o greu a thyfu ei busnes tylino ei hun ym Mhwllheli. Yn gyntaf, fe wnaethon ni roi gliniadur iddi i helpu i sefydlu gwefan ar gyfer ei busnes.
Fe wnaethom barhau i weithio gyda Rachael, gan ddysgu iddi sut i greu a golygu gwefan syml i helpu i hyrwyddo ei busnes.
Mae’n disgrifio ei hun ar ei gwefan newydd:
“Helo, Fy enw i yw Rachael ac rwy’n Therapydd Cyflenwol cymwysedig wedi’i leoli ym Mhwllheli. Rwy’n cynnig amrywiaeth o sesiynau tylino proffesiynol fel Aromatherapi, tylino Swedeg y corff, adweitheg a thylino cerrig poeth. Cwblheais fy nghwrs yn 2011 ac ers hynny bûm yn gweithio mewn sba lleol. Rwy’n mwynhau teilwra pob triniaeth i’r anghenion unigol.
Rwy’n anelu at helpu i ymlacio, gwella cylchrediad a lleddfu tensiwn yn y cyhyrau felly Os ydych chi’n teimlo y byddai hyn o fudd i chi, cysylltwch â ni.”
Unwaith iddi ddod i’r arfer o wella ei gwefan drwy ychwanegu tudalennau gwahanol ac ati, symudom ymlaen i ddysgu am ddefnyddio taenlenni i’w helpu gyda’i harian. Trwy ddefnyddio Google Sheets fe wnaethom ddysgu sut i greu taenlen sy’n cadw golwg ar ei chyllideb a maint ei helw. Mae hi bellach yn gallu ychwanegu fformiwlâu at y taenlenni os bydd angen iddi yn y dyfodol.
Mae wedi bod yn bleser cefnogi Rachael a gwylio ei hyder yn tyfu gyda sgiliau digidol. Dywedai:
